The railway offers a 1.4 km /0.9 miles miles long return journey within the Skegness Water Leisure Park, using a number of historically significant narrow gauge railway vehicles, many of which date from around the time of the First World War and its aftermath. Some services are operated using equipment owned by a registered charity, the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway Historic Vehicles Trust, including the steam locomotive ‘Jurassic’, which dates from 1903. All work is carried out by trained and qualified volunteers. The LCLR is a member of the Heritage Railway Association.
The vehicles and locos are maintained and trains are operated by the LCLR Historic Vehicles Trust on behalf of the Railway. The website for the LCLR HVT is http://lclrhvt.bravesites.com
