More than fifty years after it was shut down and demolished, SKGLB still counts among the most famous railway lines in the world. It connected Salzburg and Bad Ischl and boosted tourism on Mondsee and Attersee. An initiative is trying to raise funds toward butilding it anew as part of Salzburg's S-Bahn network (www.skglb.org).
