On the other side of the mountains to the famous Dinorwic Slate Quarry, the Penrhyn Quarry is still working. Famous for its locomotives 'Linda' and 'Blanche' that now run on the Ffestiniog Railway, it survived long enough for a number of photos to be taken.
Now long-gone, there are new moves afoot to reinstate the railway.
