July 2013 - Summer Outdoor Week

During the recent Summer Outdoor Week 30 people gave 132 days of hard work to the railway.

The tasks were many and varied, a list of the key ones follows: A sleeper stocktake, reconditioning nuts and bolts, sign painting, line Inspection work, Wharf South side work, a scrap drive, miscellaneous PW work, flail mowing, reducing the number of stored sleepers at Wharf On the extension work included the installation of the Pandrol Gauge lock fixings and the completion of the tamping.

At Quarry Siding the rail revetment and drainage work all made good progress.
