The Author Tom Rolt had a huge influence on the narrow gauge scene inspiring many enthusiasts. Equally his book \\"Narrow Boat\\" created a wave of enthusiasm to save our canals. His last canal boat voyage\\'in cap\\' was on my boat Vesta with me , his wife Sonia two sons and Paul Hocquard on left Vintage Car expert, my wife Jocelyn, and on right John Stanford Editor VintageCar magazine in 1961.
