The Talyllyn Railway is delighted to announce that Stuart Williams is to be their new General Manager. Having originally studied as a quantity surveyor, Stuart is currently the Managing Director and Founding Partner in a marquee hire firm, which he has helped develop from a two person operation to a highly successful business.
In addition Stuart has a background in the heritage railway movement and has been heavily involved in the Dean Forest Railway, serving as a volunteer for the last eleven years, including acting as the railway’s Sales and Marketing Director.
Commenting on his appointment, David Ventry, chairman of the Talyllyn Railway Company said: “We are delighted to welcome Stuart as our new General Manager, he stood out in a strong field of candidates and brings to the Railway a range of highly relevant skills and abilities, as well as considerable experience in the wider business world.
