Completed this weekend: No.6 Douglas/Duncan prepared for running over Christmas, which involved: Cleaning boiler tubes De-coking chimney Cleaning blast pipe and blower holes Washed out boiler Painted backhead and smokebox/chimney The following jobs were also completed: Lit up No.4 to test a new injector Finished wire brushing No.2’s firebox Painted inside of coal bunker and running boards on No.1 Cleaned gasket material off inside of boiler mudholes (Loco 1 and 2) Sanded down No.1’s front buffer beam, ready for painting Cleaned down No.4 and No.6’s motion Down in the West Carriage Shed the carriages were being seen to.
The ‘Bodgers’ also had a working party, starting winter work on the carriages and continuing work on Carriage 22.
