Meanwhile two 60th Anniversary specials will run between Tywyn and Abergynolwyn today, Sunday 2nd June, departing Wharf at 10.25 am and 2.35 pm.
Sonia Rolt OBE, 93-year-old widow of LTC Rolt, one of the founders of the Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society, sent the following message on the occasion of the re-enactment of the 1953 Coronation Train to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the Queen’s Coronation: “I am thrilled, delighted and excited to hear about the arrangements being made for this event and would like my best wishes to go to all those involved, both then and now.
