The Talyllyn Railway has been awarded a grant by the Awards For All scheme funded by The National Lottery Big Lottery Fund towards part of the refurbishment and enlargement of its children’s play area at Abergynolwyn.
A spokesperson for the railway said: ‘The Abergynolwyn Playground project is about ensuring visitors can enjoy the playground while spending time at Abergynolwyn Station.
The railway is also keen on involving the local community of Abergynolwyn and Tywyn into the project and the railway is committed to providing local community families a new exciting playground as well as being available to members of the public travelling on the Talyllyn Railway.
