No.2 Dolgoch returns to steam this Spring, complete with new boiler, ready for a celebratory weekend over Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th May.
On Sunday 15th May, No.2 will be taking a mixed train comprising three Brown Marshall coaches, the TR van and authentic wagons up the line for an early-morning photographic session when the light at a number of fine locations should be at its best.
The locomotive is particularly significant in this 60th Anniversary year, not just because it worked both the first passenger trains in 1866 and the first preserved train on 14th May 1951, but because it worked every train during the 1951 season without exception or back-up locomotive!
