80 miles on narrow gauge (RhE WHR FR)

The London Area Group of the FR is organising the ‘Eryri Venturer’, the first opportunity to travel 80 miles on narrow gauge in one day on Friday 25/3/11. The train will depart Harbour Station Porthmadog about 09.30 travel to Blaenau Ffestiniog behind a Double Fairlie then return to Porthmadog. K1 will then pick up the train and traverse the new Cross Town Link, crossing the Cambrian Coast Line, passing the Welsh Highland Heritage Line, to Caernarfon and return to Harbour Station by 18.00. A packed lunch is included together with souvenir timetable booklet and some special little extras. Tickets are £65.00 from Kim Winter, 223 Camp Road, St Albans Herts. AL1 5NE.
