The little known 2’ railway in the grounds of Wicksteed Park in Kettering, is to stage its first steam weekend in its 74 year history. August 13th and 14th will see ‘Peter Pan’ based at Lieghton Buzzard haul all passenger trains. The railway is open daily Easter till September every year, and uses steam outline diesel engines as its normal motive power. If this years event is a succses, a bigger event is planned to mark the 75th aniversary of the line and its engines next year.
