Glyn Valley Tramway
The Hejaz Railway: Originally built to transport pilgrims from the city of Damascus in Syria to the city of Madina in Saudi Arabia. It was completed in 1908, but was severely damaged during the First World War (1914-1918) by Lawrence of Arabia and the Arab Revolt. This site has much on the history of the line and a large number of photographs.

The South Western Railway Co. Ltd.: The Two-foot Narrow Gauge Forest Railroad operated between Knysna and Deepwalls from 1907 to 1949 in the Southern Cape of South Africa.
Steam at Penrhyn Slate Quarry: These photographs were taken in 1960 and 1961 when 2-foot gauge steam locomotives operated both on the galleries in the quarry and on its "mainline" to Port Penrhyn on the coast near Bangor.
