Not quite what it seems and this isn't really a race between the two trains! The PNKA line and the 75cm gauge sugar line crossed on the level just behind this photo. The sugar train had derailed on the crossing and Pagottan no. 8 had drawn the front part of the train forward to allow B5012 to pass with the Ponorogo to Madiun passenger train. August 1978.
