This is a model of a SAR two foot gauge DZ wagon on five inches. It was made to take two adults and the construction heavy at 51 kg. I used a lot of homemade aluminium alloy castings and the doors were pressed using a homemade 20 ton hydraulic press. The suspension is progressive and also has rubber mountings to suppress vibrations. Note the lashing buckles are made wide so that commercial straps can be used to show how these are used.
