ON the 21st of April 2007 the Pichi Richi Railway ran a re-creation Ghan Express (which was always a mixed train) from Pt Augusta to Quorn. Loco was NM 25 which was a Commonwealth Railways version of Queensland Railway class C 17 4-8-0. Built by Thompson & Co of Castlemaine Victoria between June 1925 and December 1927. Commonwealth Railway road numbers 15-28 and 31-38.
