The goats seem to be in no hurry to cross the tracks after no. 37386 has arrived at Mettapalayam with its pw special. This is the lower end of the Nilgiri Railway. The opposite face of the island platform serves the broad gauge line fomr Coimbatore and Madras which terminates here.
