1147-Freelance Atlantic built by Charlie Hepworth of Mexborough, South Yorkshire. For many years a stalwart at Blackgates. Loco was to 1" scale and ran on 4 & 13/16" gauge track, which we had at Blackgates. Charlie was a wonderful character. A driver of Atlantics and the like out of Mexborough Shed and a great teacher at further education classes for young fireman etc.
