VFCO No. 40, a Baldwin 4-6-0, stands at Antonio Carlos on a mixed train at the end of is 100km journey from Sao Joao del Rei in September 1977.

The VFCO was a 75cm gauge line with about 200km still open in 1977. Antonio Carlos lies at its eastern end where it joined the 5ft 3inch gauge main line running north from Rio de Janeiro to Belo Horizonte.
